- Ground school (phase one)
- Initial (two lessons around four hours total)

- How a plane flys
- Aircraft controls and what they do
- Aircraft instruments and what they indicate
- How to preform a “pre-flight” inspection
- How to use a “check list”
- and human flight factors
- Flight lessons (phase one) (wind less then 10 kts)
- Note: We require commercial tolerances of heading - altitude and airspeed
- Climbs / descents /glides
- Advanced (wind over 10 kts)
- Basic landing (take off and landings about 50 at six per hr)
- Advanced take off and landings - Cross wind over 15 kts component
- Solo (one must accumulate around five hours AND feel comfortable)
- Must pass FAA flight physical - third class from FAA doctor before solo.
- Note: this requirement may be dropped in future
- in the pattern only to start then
- Ground school (phase two)
- Pilotage (use of plotter and course computer)
- Weight and Balance computations (only very basic math required)
